Nicole Tompkins é uma atriz nascida no Texas, cujo trabalho inclui teatro, cinema, locução e televisão. Seus papéis notáveis incluem Idril of Gondor no game aclamado pela crítica Middle Earth: Shadow of War junto com Troy Baker; Scarlett mais velha na quinta temporada de American Horror Story junto com Chloë Sevigny e Wes Bentley; e papéis principais em longas-metragens como Opening Night, dirigido por Jack Henry Robbins, Amityville Terror, Darkness in Tenement 45 e Antrum: The Deadliest Film Ever Made.

Ela possui uma interação muito grande com os fãs de Resident Evil em suas redes sociais e inclusive já jogou Resident Evil Remake (2002), Resident Evil 2 Remake (2019), Resident Evil 3 Remake (2020), Resident Evil 7: Biohazard (2017), e atualmente no momento da entrevista, está jogando Resident Evil Village (2021)!
O EvilHazard teve o prazer de fazer uma nova entrevista com Nicole Tompkins, onde ela falou um pouco sobre o processo de dublagem de Elena/Daniela, falou sobre o processo de composição da personalidade das personagens, disse se aceita trabalhar em um filme de Resident Evil e muito mais! 1. Como, quando e onde você foi chamada para interpretar Elena e Daniela Dimitrescu em Resident Evil Village?
Poucas semanas antes da captura de movimento inicial começar me foi oferecido o papel de Elena. Não muito depois de Daniela ser adicionada! Inicialmente, eu tinha muito pouca ideia do que a história era ou quem eram esses personagens. Houve um imenso segredo neste projeto, então eu realmente tive uma imagem muito mais completa de quem eram esses personagens na primeira mesa lida com todo o elenco. Este jogo tem tantos personagens incríveis e interessantes que foi uma delícia poder participar.
2. Quando você foi chamada para o projeto, você pensou que faria Jill Valentine novamente? Ou você sabia que haveriam duas novas personagens?
Tive a honra trabalhar com a Capcom e com o diretor Steve Knibhily novamente e com a equipe de produção da Werk House. Jill nunca foi mencionada para mim neste jogo. Fiquei muito feliz que os criativos por trás deste projeto confiaram em mim mais duas personagens do mundo de Resident Evil. Vários atores foram chamados e usados novamente neste jogo e foi uma verdadeira alegria trabalhar com eles!
3. O que você acha de Elena e Daniela Dimitrescu? Elas são personagens completamente diferentes!
Eu amo as duas por razões diferentes. Ser parte da Vila como Elena significava que eu pude participar de algumas cenas realmente divertidas com um monte de outros atores, bem como criar rapidamente um relacionamento com Ethan que, embora breve, parece impactante. Daniela foi simplesmente uma explosão. Interpretar uma vilã pode ser excepcionalmente divertido. Eles sempre me divertem com tudo. Dar vida a Daniela também significou que ganhei uma família totalmente nova! Rapidamente me tornei uma boa amiga das senhoras da Casa Dimitrescu, Maggie Robertson (Alcina Dimitrescu), Bekka Prewitt (Bela Dimitrescu) e da falecida Jeanette Maus (Cassandra Dimitrescu).
4. Como foi o processo de Mo-Cap de Elena e Daniela?
O processo de Mocap foi incrivelmente divertido e tão diferente para os duas personagens! Elena é bastante tímida e assustada enquanto Daniela exala confiança. A personagem Daniela foi minha primeira vez fazendo capturas de performance de salto, que gostei bastante! Os saltos mudam a maneira como você se move, então eles realmente têm “saltos mocap” com marcadores por toda parte – uma verdadeira declaração de moda.
5. Qual personagem você mais gostou de interpretar? Jill Valentine em Resident Evil 3 (2020) ou Elena / Daniela em Resident Evil Village?
Não me faça escolher! Eu amo todos os papéis que consigo dar vida por diferentes razões. Embora Jill Valentine sempre terá um lugar especial extra em meu coração (quero dizer, qual é, ela é a “Supercop”!). Jill também foi minha introdução ao trabalho com a Capcom, conhecendo alguns colegas e amigos incríveis e interagindo com a incrível base de fãs de Resident Evil. Elena e Daniela foram uma extensão dessas experiências.
6. As filhas de Lady Dimitrescu foram um sucesso, os fãs se apaixonaram por elas! Você acompanhou a reação dos fãs pela internet? O que você achou?
Aí sim! Eu estava mandando mensagens de texto para Maggie Robertson (Alcina Dimitrescu) quase diariamente quando Lady D e suas filhas explodiram a internet! Nós compartilhamos fan art umas com os outras e pudemos aproveitar todo o entusiasmo enquanto esperávamos pacientemente para anunciar e comemorar publicamente!
7. Muitos acham que Elena poderia retornar em uma futura DLC de Resident Evil Village? Voce sabe de alguma coisa?
Eu gostaria de saber de alguma coisa, mas, infelizmente, não sei! Tudo depende das tomadas de decisão da Capcom e de onde eles escolhem levar sua história!
8. O que você acha de Ethan Winters? Ele conhece Elena e Daniela durante sua jornada em Resident Evil Village!
Eu realmente amo o desenvolvimento de Ethan neste jogo. Tendo jogado RE7 (e agora jogando em Village), é muito legal ver como eles amadureceram e evoluíram esse personagem. Foi uma alegria trabalhar com Todd Soley (Ethan Winters) e aproveitei cada segundo!
9. Você tem alguma fala favorita de Elena e Daniela no jogo?
OOO difícil, minha resposta provavelmente mudará, mas fazer a oração à Mãe Miranda com todos os outros aldeões foi realmente divertido como Elena e honestamente um desafio! Estou feliz com o resultado do jogo final. Daniela … provavelmente sua frase de introdução na biblioteca “Então você finalmente veio me ver. Todo mundo se apaixona por mim com o tempo” (So you’ve finally come to see me. Everyone falls for me in time). Embora ela tenha muitas falas divertidas .. “Me Beija” (Kiss me), etc.
10. Qual a sua opinião sobre Lady Alcina Dimitrescu? Mãe da Daniela! Ela foi um sucesso estrondoso entre os fãs!
Eu adoro Alcina. Eu adoro a Maggie que interpreta Alcina. Eu sei que muitas pessoas talentosas trabalharam muito para trazê-la à vida e eu acho que definitivamente valeu a pena! Nós nos divertimos muito gravando as cenas com nossa mãe de 2,90m.
11. Você pretende jogar Resident Evil Village? Vimos que você tem jogado vários jogos da franquia em seu canal na Twitch!
No momento, estou jogando Resident Evil Village em twitch.tv/nicoletompkins e trazendo um colega de elenco diferente a cada semana enquanto trabalho no jogo. Estou adorando até agora!
12. Você já fez Cosplay de Jill Valentine! Você pretende fazer um Cosplay de Elena / Daniela?
Ah, Eu poderia! Ainda não decidi, mas um cosplay da Daniela seria muito divertido! As irmãs têm vestidos tão épicos.
13. Se você fosse convidada a participar de um filme ou série de Resident Evil interpretando Jill / Elena / Daniela, você aceitaria?
Estou sempre pronta para a oportunidade de trabalhar no mundo de RE, me senti incrivelmente bem-vinda e adorei trabalhar nesses projetos.

1. How, when and where were you called to play Elena and Daniela Dimitrescu in Resident Evil Village?
I was called a few weeks before initial motion capture began and was offered the role of Elena. Not too long after Daniela was added! Initially I had very little idea what the story was or who these characters even were. There was immense secrecy on this project so I actually got a much fuller picture of who these characters were at the first table read with the entire cast. This game has so many amazing and interesting characters so it was a delight to be able to participate.
2. When you were called to the project, what proposal would you play Jill Valentine again? Or did you know that there would be two new characters?
I was honored for any opportunity to get to work with Capcom and Director Steve Knibhily again and the producing team at the Werk House. Jill was never mentioned to me for this game. I was delighted that the creatives behind this project trusted with me two more characters in the Resident Evil world. Several actors were asked back and used again in this game and it was a true joy getting to work with them!
3. What do you think of Elena and Daniela Dimitrescu? They are completely different characters!
I love both of them for different reasons. Being a part of the Village as Elena meant I got to participate in some really fun scenes with a whole bunch of other actors as well as quickly create a relationship with Ethan that though brief, feels impactful. Daniela was just a blast. Getting to play a villian can be so exceptionally fun. They are always amused by everything. Bringing Daniela to life also meant I earned myself a whole new family! I quickly became good friends with the ladies of House Dimitrescu, Maggie Robertson, Bekka Prewitt, and the late Jeanette Maus.
4. How was the Mo-Cap process of Elena and Daniela?
The Mocap process was incredibly fun and so different for both characters! Elena is quite timid and frightened while Daniela oozes confidence. The character of Daniela was my first time doing performance capture in heels, which I quite enjoyed! Heels change the way that you move so they actually have “mocap heels” with markers all over them – truly a fashion statement.
5. Which character did you like to play the most? Jill Valentine in Resident Evil 3 (2020) or Elena / Daniela in Resident Evil Village?
Don’t make me pick! I love all the roles I get to bring to life for different reasons. Though Jill Valentine will always have an extra special place in my heart (I mean come on, she is Supercop!). Jill was also my introduction to working with Capcom, meeting some incredible colleagues and friends, and interacting with the amazing Resident Evil fan base. Elena and Daniela have been an extension of those experiences.
6. Lady Dimitrescu’s daughters were a success, the fans fell in love with them! Did you follow the reaction of fans over the internet? What do you think?
Oh yes! I was texting with Maggie Robertson (Alcina Dimitrescu) almost on the daily when Lady D and her daughters blew up the internet! We shared fan art with each other and were able to enjoy all the massive hype while very patiently waiting to announce and celebrate publicly!
7. Do many think Elena could return in a future Resident Evil Village DLC? Do you know something?
I wish I knew anything but, alas, I do not! That is all up to the decision makers at Capcom and where they choose to take their story!
8. What do you think about Ethan Winters? He meets Elena and Daniela during their journey in Resident Evil Village!
I really love Ethans development in this game. Having played RE7 (and now currently playing through Village) it’s really cool to see how they have matured and evolved this character. Todd Soley was a joy to work with and I enjoyed every second!
9. Do you have any favorite lines from Elena and Daniela in the game?
OOO tough one, my answer will probably change but, doing the prayer to Mother Miranda with all the other Villagers was really fun as Elena and honestly a challenge! I’m happy with how it turned out in the final game. Daniela… probably her intro line into the library “So you’ve finally come to see me. Everyone falls for me in time”. Though she does have a lot of fun one-liners.. “Kiss me?” etc.
10. What is your opinion about Lady Alcina Dimitrescu? Daniela’s mother! She was a smash hit among fans!
I adore Alcina. I adore Maggie who plays Alcina. I know lots of talented people worked very hard to bring her to life and I think it definitely paid off! We had a lot of fun shooting the scenes with our 9’6″ mother.
11. Do you intend to play Resident Evil Village? We saw that you have been playing several franchise games on your Twitch channel!
I am currently playing Resident Evil Village on twitch.tv/nicoletompkins and bringing on a different castmate every week as I work my way through the game. I am loving it so far!
12. You already did Jill Valentine Cosplay! Do you want to make Elena/Daniela Cosplay?
Ha! I might! Haven’t decided yet, though a Daniela cosplay would be very fun! The sisters have such epic dresses.
13. If you were invited to participate in a Resident Evil movie or series playing Jill/Elena/Daniela, would you accept it?
I am always up for the opportunity to work in the RE world, I have felt so incredibly welcomed and have loved working on these projects.
